Ups and Downs

Days are full of ups and downs. This one is ending at the local vet ER. I spent years in rooms like these, photographing injured animals, interviewing owners, reviewing treatments with doctors, and touring the press. I’ve lost friends that spent their last moments in my hands and met heroes that brought strength to the people they nuzzled. Tonight I know it will all be ok but I wish he didn’t have to see this room.

    • UPDATE: We are awaiting the results of a fecal test however Milo has begun eating again after fasting for more than 30 hours. His energy has returned and he is slowly returning to his normal self. Thank you to all who sent their notes of concern via Twitter, email, and through this blog.
