Argo: Logo Commitment

“Just saw Argo w/ #MsKluender…my knuckles are still white.” – @brianadamspr

That was my tweet after seeing Argo Friday night and experiencing its simple, yet tense, ending.

Even more engaging than the ending was the commitment to the style of the late 70s and early 80s by director Ben Affleck. The film drew me in from its first moments as the Warner Brothers logo from my childhood appeared on screen. Seeing the vintage, three line logo was a simple touch that showed Affleck’s dedication to accuracy in presentation, even if the ending was mainly fictitious.

One word of advice: Forget the XD experience and see the film properly on the “normal” big-screen to bring vintage fuzziness to your viewing.
